Nearly $60,000 in Association funding supported departments in the College of Arts and  Sciences in 2025, assisting in recruiting faculty and students, professional development  opportunities and research support. 

The Association provides gifts that support free, peer-led tutoring through the Academic Success Center. In the 2024-25 school year, nearly 11,000 students were impacted by  this support. 

Three times a year, The Association of Former Students hosts thousands of Aggies, family and friends for Aggie Ring Day at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center. Aggie Ring Day, which was envisioned and created by The Association, is one of the most anticipated events of an Aggie’s academic career when they receive the most visible symbol of the Aggie Network: the Aggie Ring. The Association also financially supports Aggie Ring delivery at the School of Law and the Higher Education Center at McAllen. 

The Association of Former Students and its Class Programs team works with Class Agents each year to organize and promote the 50th Anniversary Reunion, as well as other formal Reunions. The Association also manages and supports other Class-sponsored activities, Class newsletters and Class gifts. 

More than 30% of all living former students can be found within Classes that have graduated from Texas A&M within the past 10 years. The Association of Former Students has created programs to highlight and support these Young Alumni, including the 12 under 12 award and Young Alumni Weekend. 

By providing print materials, meeting space and other support for Fish Camp, The Association of Former Students helps thousands of incoming Aggies begin their Texas A&M journey with a stronger connection to Aggie traditions, values and Classmates.  

The Traveling Aggies program offers former students, current students, their families and friends of Texas A&M the opportunity to travel and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow Aggies. More than 80 trips each year include experiences and itineraries not typically available to individual travelers.

The Big Event began in 1982 with the cleanup of a local cemetery and has now grown to  include over 20,000 students annually who complete community service jobs around the  Bryan/College Station community. The Association of Former Students is proud to  support the largest one-day, student-run service project in the nation by providing funds  toward the print materials. 

In 2025, The Association provided over $985,000 to the Division of Student Affairs that  went directly to help student organizations like The Big Event. 

Class Councils serves and unites the Texas A&M student body by hosting many beloved traditions, including Maroon Out, Elephant Walk, Legacy Night, Fish Fest and Ring Dance. The Association of Former Students supports the efforts of the organization by providing design, printing, promotional and staffing support. 

As the final “stand alone” reunion for the individual Class, the 50th Reunion coincides with Muster. The Association of Former Students works with Class Agents to plan all aspects of the Reunion, including the Corps of Cadets formation and flag-raising ceremony, Class dinner and attendance of the student-run Muster at Reed Arena. 

$80,000 in funds received from The Association of Former Students allowed Texas A&M  Engineering to direct funding to a unique and high impact initiative – the Engineering  Hagler Fellows, enabling Texas A&M to recruit and retain outstanding faculty- researchers. 

In FY25, Mays Business School dedicated nearly $40,000 in funds from The Association  to support research excellence, innovation and mentorship through faculty excellence  awards. 

A large part of The Association’s mission is to serve the student body. We do this through scholarships, supplemental instruction, emergency tuition and fee loans, the student assistance fund, support for student organizations and programs and more. 

The Association of Former Students helps former students maintain their ties to Texas A&M and to each other through a number of programs aimed at helping Aggies reconnect with Texas A&M. Among these are A&M Clubs, Class activities and Constituent Networks. 

The Association of Former Students provides over $100,000 annually to the Corps of Cadets to support programs and units, including ROTC, Ross Volunteers, Parsons Mounted Cavalry, Fish Drill Team and the Corps of Cadets Visitors Center. 

The Association of Former Students provides support to the Fish Drill Team that assists  with travel, meals and lodging that allows the team to participate in such events as the  Tulane Drill Meet, the Battle of the Flowers Parade and local holiday parades. 

Fish Camp is a 3-day, 2-night extended orientation program for incoming freshmen at Texas A&M University.

In 2024, The Association provided $140,000 to the Division of Student Affairs that went directly to help student organizations like Fish Camp.

A sterling green space at Texas A&M University, Aggie Park quickly became the heart of life on campus after opening in 2022. Envisioned and developed by The Association of Former Students, it was funded by private donations and was a gift to be used by the entire Aggie Network 365 days a year.
