Big news for Texas A&M ECEN undergrads!
The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded our department a new REU Site grant: WAVE SURF (Workforce Advancement in Verification and Emulation of Semiconductor Chips).

The Department of History proudly hosted its first cording ceremony for the Legal History Certificate in December 2025, recognizing students who completed the program. The Legal History Certificate Program, which began in 2022, is designed to prepare students who have an interest in a legal career for life after graduation, equipping them with historical knowledge and analytical skills that serve as a strong foundation for legal education.

From Aggieland to Capitol Hill.
Students in our Haynes Teacher Corps stepped out of the classroom and traveled to Washington, D.C. They toured the U.S. Capitol and other landmarks, met with Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, observed the legislative process in action and explored how policy, advocacy and public service intersect with their future roles as educators.

Nearly $60,000 in Association funding supported departments in the College of Arts and Sciences in 2025, assisting in recruiting faculty and students, professional development opportunities and research support.
A sterling green space at Texas A&M University, Aggie Park quickly became the heart of life on campus after opening in 2022. Envisioned and developed by The Association of Former Students, it was funded by private donations and was a gift to be used by the entire Aggie Network 365 days a year.
Transfer Camp and SALT Camp are the two Aggie orientation camps that prepare incoming transfer students and students to the Galveston campus for life as an Aggie. The Association supports scholarships for students to attend T-Camp and SALT Camp, and other needs.
The Association of Former Students provides over $60,000 annually to the Career Center, which allows them to offer former students complimentary services that include career consultations, guidance for effective networking, online career assessments, and advice on resume writing, job interviewing and salary negotiation.
Nearly $60,000 in Association funding supported departments in the College of Arts and Sciences in 2025, assisting in recruiting faculty and students, professional development opportunities and research support.
The Big Event began in 1982 with the cleanup of a local cemetery and has now grown to include over 20,000 students annually who complete community service jobs around the Bryan/College Station community. The Association of Former Students is proud to support the largest one-day, student-run service project in the nation by providing funds toward the print materials.
In 2025, The Association provided over $985,000 to the Division of Student Affairs that went directly to help student organizations like The Big Event.
Class Councils serves and unites the Texas A&M student body by hosting many beloved traditions, including Maroon Out, Elephant Walk, Legacy Night, Fish Fest and Ring Dance. The Association of Former Students supports the efforts of the organization by providing design, printing, promotional and staffing support.
As the final “stand alone” reunion for the individual Class, the 50th Reunion coincides with Muster. The Association of Former Students works with Class Agents to plan all aspects of the Reunion, including the Corps of Cadets formation and flag-raising ceremony, Class dinner and attendance of the student-run Muster at Reed Arena.
$80,000 in funds received from The Association of Former Students allowed Texas A&M Engineering to direct funding to a unique and high impact initiative – the Engineering Hagler Fellows, enabling Texas A&M to recruit and retain outstanding faculty- researchers.
The Association of Former Students fuels the Aggie Spirit through scholarships and emergency assistance for students, A&M Clubs and events for former students and dogged support of essential Aggie traditions. But we can only do that with your help. Add your support so we can do even more.
