The Thomas family ranched these 2,281 acres for more than 70 years before Bill Thomas ‘68 donated the land to AgriLife Research in 2023. Today it’s home to a working cattle herd, a research vineyard and programs in range science and wildlife management.

This week, our METM Classes of 2027s and 2028s came together on campus in College Station for an experience that goes far beyond the classroom. Watching two cohorts of talented technical professionals gather in person to share ideas, build their networks, and grow as leaders is something that never gets old.

Campers explored air quality through hands-on activities, DIY air filter builds and real-world learning while discovering how emergency management, climate literacy, urban planning and public health work together to build more resilient communities.
