What a fun night at the CC Hooks last night!

From helping young children build literacy skills to preparing students for an AI-driven future, researchers at our Texas A&M Department of Teaching, Learning and Culture are translating research into meaningful solutions for schools and communities.

This week, our METM Classes of 2027s and 2028s came together on campus in College Station for an experience that goes far beyond the classroom. The Association of Former Students helps former students maintain their ties to Texas A&M and to each other through a number of programs aimed at helping Aggies reconnect with Texas A&M. Among these are A&M Clubs, Class activities and Constituent Networks.
More than $21,000 from The Association supported student impact grants, attendance at professional conferences for undergraduates to present research and the College’s Pocket Pantry, which provides relief and resources to College of Education and Human Development students experiencing food insecurity.
$80,000 in funds received from The Association of Former Students allowed Texas A&M Engineering to direct funding to a unique and high impact initiative — the Engineering Hagler Fellows, enabling Texas A&M to recruit and retain outstanding faculty researchers.
The Association of Former Students provides over $100,000 annually to the Corps of Cadets to support programs and units, including ROTC, Ross Volunteers, Parsons Mounted Cavalry, Fish Drill Team and the Corps of Cadets Visitors Center.
In FY25, Mays Business School dedicated nearly $40,000 in funds from The Association to support research excellence, innovation and mentorship through faculty excellence awards.
A large part of The Association’s mission is to serve the student body. We do this through scholarships, supplemental instruction, emergency tuition and fee loans, the student assistance fund, support for student organizations and programs and more.
The Sports Club Association gives more than 1500 non-varsity student-athletes the opportunity to compete nationally during their collegiate career. $25,000 in funds from The Association assists with purchasing uniforms for athletes who represent Texas A&M in national competitions, specialized practice and competition floors for indoor sports and more.
The Association of Former Students provides over $60,000 annually to the Career Center, which allows them to offer former students complimentary services that include career consultations, guidance for effective networking, online career assessments, and advice on resume writing, job interviewing and salary negotiation.
The Association of Former Students fuels the Aggie Spirit through scholarships and emergency assistance for students, A&M Clubs and events for former students and dogged support of essential Aggie traditions. But we can only do that with your help. Add your support so we can do even more.
Tell us what you would like to see on this page in the future.
